Working as a team
I am a strong believer in collaborative working, and all good collaborations start with a mutual understanding. That’s why I never work with complicated terms and conditions. I don’t like jargon, and my clients don’t either.
Good content is all about keeping things simple and understandable. So here’s the skinny on how we will work together.
Figuring out what you need
The first step in us working together is easy – you reach out to me and let me know what you need help with. You can fill in the form on the contact page, or simply email email@example.com.

The more information you can provide me with about your business and goals, the easier it will be to produce a quote and accurate timeline for the project. I’m here to help you reach, or even exceed your aspirations.
How much will all this cost?
Copywriting, editing and blogging projects are costed on an entirely bespoke basis. I’ll take a look at what you need, ask the right questions and provide a clear cost breakdown.
For smaller projects, and my online marketing consultancy service, you will be required to pay in full upfront.
Larger copywriting projects will incur a 50% deposit payment, with the remaining balance due in instalments or at the end of the project dependent on timeframe and scale. Blogging is costed on a monthly retainer of a set amount per month.
There are no hidden costs or VAT in my quotes – and the fee will only change if the scope of the project does. Any change will be clearly communicated before work begins.
I believe in deadlines, and sticking to them. It is important that we discuss your expectations first to ensure that I can deliver the work to the timeframe you require.
At the beginning of a project, I will deliver a project timeline with set deadlines for all parties. It is important that everyone hits their deadlines, and I cannot be held responsible for delays outside of my control.
The payment terms along with any terms and conditions specific to your project will be outlined in a contract of services. All deposits are required to be paid within 7 days of invoice (preferably on receipt), and any final payments or retainer payments are due on receipt. Work is not secured until the deposit payment is made.
Payments are made via BACS transfer or secure online payment through Stripe. Full details on how to make a payment will be included on every invoice you receive. An interest charge of 8% will be incurred for every week that an invoice is overdue, with the first 8% added from day one past the due date.
If you are unable to make a payment on time for any reason, please inform me as soon as possible (no later than 3 days before due date) so that alternative arrangements can be made.
It is within my best interest to create content that you love. However, I can make no guarantees about the results that the content will produce (i.e. search engine ranking improvements) due to a vast number of variables at play.
Therefore, my fees are non-refundable and still payable even if you choose for whatever reason not to use the content produced.
You are welcome to cancel a project at any time should you change your mind.
If you have already paid the deposit and I have yet to start on your project, you’ll forfeit 50% of the deposit. This is because I may have had to turn away other work to take on your project.
If you cancel after work has begun, you will forfeit the whole deposit and will receive an updated invoice to pay for any of the time spent and work completed.

As a small business owner, my work is always on my mind – and that’s the way I like it! However, my operating hours for all points of contact are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (excluding public and Bank holidays).
Calls, emails or messages received outside of these hours will be dealt with at the next available opportunity.
